We are looking for a thorough 2nd Shift (3PM-11PM) Public Areas Attendant to keep all lobby and public facilities (such as lobby restrooms, telephone area, the front desk, and offices) in a neat and clean condition. Public Area Attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Clean rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
• Clean and maintain restaurant and banquet halls.
• Sweep carpets.
• Empty ashtrays and urns.
• Polish furniture and fixtures.
• Vacuum and polish elevators.
• Keep the front of the hotel free from trash.
• Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom, and shampoo machine.
• Wash walls and ceilings, move and arrange furniture.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
• Dust and polish metalwork.
• Clean and maintain all equipment daily.
• Follow up a special cleaning schedule given by the housekeeping control desk.
• Report maintenance issues to the supervisor/ housekeeping desk immediately.
• Comply with the Lost and Found Policy of the Hotel.
• Assist Guests in Public Areas when required.
• Have good knowledge of all hotel facilities, hours of operation, Restaurant, shops and function rooms.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory in the Housekeeping closets.
• Post caution signs as and when required.
• Responsible for following departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment which (s)he is using i.e., Vacuum cleaner, trolleys, Scrubbing machine.
• Responsible for maintaining a schedule for cleaning their areas.
• Responsible for spring cleaning of their area as per the schedule given to them.
• Must have an open schedule with ability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.
